Without a doubt, accessories can make or break an outfit. The right accessories can take a ho-hum ensemble and give it the WOW factor. On the other hand, the wrong accessories can make even the best put together outfit look like a disaster. There are a few things that you should keep in mind when you are accessorizing your outfits. When it comes to purses, jewelry and shoes, you will step out in style and be a fashion plate everywhere that you go.

While some accessory designers have finally caught on that plus size girls a) make up a pretty large part of the female population b) will no longer stand for dressing in tent-like ensembles that make them disappear and c) that plus size girls want to (and do!) look GOOD! While there are very few accessory lines that are specifically geared toward the plus size woman, many designers are adding pieces to their collections that are appropriate for the woman of size.

Your look can be either accentuated or degraded by your purse. For example, small purses tend to make their carriers look larger; a tiny purse can make a heavy woman look downright fat. A bag that is too large will also look unnatural. Focus on selecting an appropriately-sized purse that meets your needs and is consistent with your other style choices. A single quality bag, neutrally styled, will meet your daytime needs, and a single dressier purse for dress-up is a good start. You can add as many more as you like to suit your style, as long as they are appropriately sized.

Plus sized girls are not flattered by small, dainty jewelry, which just enhances your size. Pearls are classic regardless of the occasion, but modernize them by choosing a long strand and making a knot at the end. This which gives it some substance without detracting from the simple beauty. Bangle bracelets and solid charms are very enhancing for larger figures. One doesn’t need to to completely avoid tiny jewelry, just pair it with something stronger to balance your look and keep it proportional.

Larger size women can still look fabulous by matching their outfits with adorable shoes. Even if a woman has a wide foot, she can still wear some trendy looks. A classic style is the espadrille. It’s a fun and youthful style that looks good on almost every person. Plus size women shouldn’t be afraid to wear heels. If you are uneasy about wearing three inch heels, start with a shorter style. Be careful when searching for bargains. Cheap shoes will show wear. If you want to look trendy, then you have to pay for the look you want. Be daring and pay a little extra for higher quality.
